His Great Light

“The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light;
Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined...
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given;”

Isaiah 9:2,6

A great spiritual darkness has been covering the world, and all of mankind has been but sojourners hopelessly wandering without a sense of purpose and direction. In this darkness there is no way that man himself can illuminate his path. The intense language used here shows that it is as if we were but a few steps away from death itself.

But then, in a joyous burst of glory, a light shone so bright that the darkness itself could not comprehend its intensity. Never before has there been such a great light. Now, the most marvelous part of this light was it’s source - God Himself.

The birth of Jesus was like a million flood lights being used in the darkest of dungeons. No longer would the world be without hope. All will see this great light. Truly the hope of glory has come!

Any area of your life that is marked by darkness is longing for the brilliant light of Jesus to come and shine. It’s time to open up and let the light in.
